An IPTV player is not a channel subscription

An IPTV player plays streams from a source you add yourself. VoxFrame supplies the software, not channels, films, playlists or IPTV subscriptions. Use sources you are entitled to access, such as a stream lawfully offered by its broadcaster.

You need Windows 10 or 11, an internet connection for online streams and the details for your own source. A Simple plan or Pro licence does not grant access to an external channel service. Check whether that service supports playback in an external player.

Open an M3U or M3U8 playlist

M3U is a playlist format containing media references. M3U8 is the UTF-8 variant and is also used for HLS streams. The extension alone does not guarantee that a source is available or supported.

1. Open IPTV

   Choose the IPTV function in the player and select M3U. Open the M3U/M3U8 file you received or paste the complete playlist URL.

2. Load the list

   Check the URL and initially load the groups without a filter. Then select a group and a channel or video.

3. Check playback

   Start the video without extra subtitle processing first. This helps distinguish a connection problem from a subtitle problem. Save frequently used items as favourites.

A playlist URL may contain login details. Do not post it publicly, and remove these details from screenshots sent for support.

Connect using Xtream

If your source provides an Xtream connection, select Xtream under Open IPTV. Enter its server URL, username and password in the separate fields, then choose Load Xtream. Keep the supplied protocol and any port number in the server URL.

An Xtream login is different from your VoxFrame licence key. Use the source credentials, not your VoxFrame account. Once the catalogue loads, choose a group and an item. The available live channels or films depend on that source and your access rights.

Live subtitles and AI translation

First check whether the stream already has usable subtitles. Select available tracks through CC. Live Subs can transcribe speech and translate when needed; this is a separate step from playing the video.

Simple offers Cloud model and the local base, small and large-v3-turbo transcription models. Explicitly download a local model in Settings before using it. Local transcription runs on your PC, with speed depending on its hardware. It does not make an online IPTV source or Cloud translation work offline.

File translations, translated Live Subs and Cloud model transcription have separate allowances. Local transcription does not consume Cloud model minutes. Check your chosen route and balance. AI may miss or misrecognize words; background noise and overlapping speakers affect the result.

The list will not load or playback stalls

Loading Xtream fails.

Check the server URL, port and credentials for typos or extra spaces. Ask your source whether access is active and how many simultaneous connections it permits.

The list is empty.

Try without a group filter and use Refresh. A filter can hide items, but the source may also be returning an empty catalogue.

The list opens but one channel does not.

Try another item from the same source. A playlist may be reachable while an individual stream is temporarily unavailable or unsupported.

The video plays but Live Subs falls behind.

Check the transcription choice and PC recommendation. Try a lighter local model that is already downloaded. Playback, speech recognition and translation each have their own dependencies.

Choose Simple or Pro

Simple offers straightforward controls, local or Cloud transcription and managed Cloud translation. Pro adds more detailed provider settings, subtitle actions, LAN Watch and a separate Chromecast route. They are independent Windows apps with separate licences.
